Blessed is the season, which engages the whole world in a conspiracy of love.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Last year, on our old blog, Han and I tackled something we coined “Twelve Days of Kindness” for the first couple of weeks of December. Some days we did things as simple as posting about sites like Free Rice, where you can raise money without giving any money, just by answering trivia questions. Other days, we did things varying from visiting shut-ins at a local nursing home to sending a care package to a US Soldier in service overseas. We took (store-bought) cookies to the fire station and we dropped a care package off at the Rape and Crisis Shelter. It was a bit of a challenge remembering to do something each day, but it was an awesome exercise in vigilance. There are a lot of very easy acts of kindness that one can do, and in fact we are presented with opportunities each day.
This year, we’re doing it again and we’re wondering if you all would like to join us?
All you have to do:
- Steal one of these images and slap it on your blog (if you have one), linking back to this post and encouraging others to join in.
- Commit twelve acts of kindness on twelve consecutive days during December.
- Each day, write a brief summary of your good deed on your blog/f@cebook/whatevs, if you have one. The point of this step is to share your ideas for giving kindness with others.
- Give yourself and your kids a huge pat on the back.
So, as Jerry Maguire would say, “Who’s coming with me? Who’s coming with me?”
Won’t you be my Renee Zellweger?
